ive got a ford escort 96 reg zetec engine , the problem that im having is the engine stalls ocasionaly. what happens is when i start the car the engine idles very poorly (almost hunting) for about 30 secs then reaches about1000 rpm and everthing appears normal .the car drives perfectly well with no stalling,but if i start car and drive off straight away it stalls non stop when the accelerator is lifted. this happens in all types of weather and the car always starts first time , is this a common problem . also does anybody know how difficult it is to fit new glass into the sunroof of the said escort. haynes manual suggests its fairly straightforward is it?
