Hi as a lady driver with little knowledge of cars I hope someone can help. I Have a fiat brava 1.2 Treg. Last year it failed MOT on emissions and i paid alot of money for a new CAT converter, today the car has failed again on Emissions as follows Fast idle CO 0.468(fail) Lambda 1.049 (fail) all other on fast idle pass. Second Fast idle CO 0.555 Lambda 1.040 all other pass. Nautral Idel CO 0.568 Fail. It also says above the tests Engine oil temperature measurement was by-passed.(cooling fan cut in)surely i dont have to replace the CAT Converter again. Is there anything else that could cause this? also i had notice a few things this last few weeks im using quite a bit more petrol and had first put this down to the rise in cost also sometimes the car spluters alittle sometime a bit like if you were going to run out of fuel, i have had the car for around 18months and i have not had the filter changed or plugs but not sure if this makes a difference to to Emissions (lady drivers!!) can anyone help me please thanks Bev
