Fiesta MK3 sump plug?

Dear All,

I was about to do an oil change on my Fiesta MK3 1.1 and discovered that the sump plug was not a bolt as expected. I don't have any serious jacking equipment so have to squirm underneath thus not giving the best view possible. However,it appears to be round. I first thought it was some sort of plastic cap but couldn't leaver it off with a screwdriver!! If anyone has seen this plug design before and knows what to do with it please can you help.

Thanks in advance,

Ben

it is probably just the standard 13mm plug which has been damaged by previous undoing.

first buy the right new plug and washer. to undo the old one you will probably have to resort to a stilson type wrench or you might be lucky and find mole grips will do.

there is slim possibility that someone has replaced the original with a plug that needs a spline tool or allen key or torx, but that will be obvious if it has a recess in the face.
