I'm trying to find out if anyone knows the mileage for replacement of the timing belt on the ford focus 1.6 TDCi engine 109PS engine ? Also what would be a reasonable price for getting this done at a garage in the South (near Reading) ? Thanks Tony
should not be needed yet, up to 07/05 is 125k or ten years while 08/05 is 150k or ten years
as to the price, ask nearer the time, it looks vaguely complex to do and needs several special tools, I think this is also the engine where the alternator belt must be renewed as it must be cut off. a guesstimate would be about a 300 - 400 quid job at present (parts and labour).
