General Breather pipe / Air filter / Vacuum questions

A few general questions about mechanical bits and bobs:

1) The breather pipe that goes to the airbox and blows oily air into it. Why?

2) The other one that goes to what looks like the inlet manifold. Why?

3) Where does the pressure in the rocker box come from?

4) I assume Vacuum is generated by the pistons trying to suck air in on the intake stroke. How's it tapped off for the brake servo etc.?

Cheers.

Emission control. The engine burns the oil mist rather than pumping it into the atmosphere.

Same reason.

There shouldn't be much pressure there but you do have the tappets thrashing about.

Normally from the intake manifold.

That doesn't really generate pressure though. When I lift the oil filler cap I get a mist of oil chugging out. I'll compare it with another Ka later...

Pressure is the blowby on each piston, the more there is the more worn the engine.

I've just gone out and checked my wife's Ka and I can feel the pressure but I'm not getting an oil mist coming out.

You'll get oil mist when the engine's red hot after a 10 mile blast :).
