Granada Cruise control Lamp with Issues

Hi chaps,

I have amoungst the fleet a 1993 Granada Scorpio which is on the whole a good motor, however it's having one of those weeks. The battery has died as the rear boot latch activator has jammed on. The coolant level sensor has given up the ghost. The temp sensor appears to have also give up as the gauge reads hot (In fairness it's been like that for around a month now) but the one thing that really irritates me and it has done since I got it in March 2002 is the cruise control light has a mind of it's own. SOmetimes it comes on bright (all by it's self) sometimes just a dim glow.. but never actually operating the cruise control. Can any one shed any light on what the issue may be? I'm sure that I'm not alone with this issue!

Of and if any one can also tell me where the temp sensor is then that would be great.

It's a 2.0 DOHC 1993 (Facelift but not the full on scorpio i.e. last model)

This motor has been a daily driver and other than an auto box refurb 2 weeks after I bought it has been quite a good motor, seems it's making up for lost time.

regards

Lee D
