Laguna heater matrix pipes.

My Laguna's heater matrix pipes that attach to the bulk head fell off yesterday. I was driving along a country back road that I know rather well and came over a crest with a small jump. Reached the traffic lights at the end of the road and noticed that the temp gauge was higher than normal so I switched on the heater ot full blast and carried on my way up the motorway.

No heat came out of the heater only cold air, air lock thinks I as the gauge did not get any higher. On nearing my slip road I heard a rattling sound but couldn't place it. Sitting at lights on slip road, gave engine a rev and it was pinking it's head off! Got to park quickly!

Parked up and that's when I saw the empty expansion tank and the pipes hanging from the bulkhead. I appear to have stopped in time as there appears to be no ill effects despite the engine needing 4 and a half litres of water.

Is this sort of thing common on the Laguna? The pipes are just held by a silly plastic spring clip that seems to have lost all springyness.

I know bits fall of French cars but that's just ridiculous!
