LED lights question

I'd like to try some LED lights in a horse trailer, anyone recommend a supplier? I get an intermittent poor earth and rather than grovelling around trying to trace it I want to see if the low current of LEDs sorts it out.

The stop-tails are the type where the pins are at 180 degrees, but offset axially. Is that the 1157 base?

Dear oh dear oh dear. Do you have the same attitude to the braking and steering systems?

It probably won't and you'll possibly get all sorts of phantom feed problems where the wiring's not all that good.

If the poor earth is due to a dirty or ineffective connection, a lower current will be more likely to make things worse.

If the connection is sometimes OK, and sometimes not, the lamp type won't make a scrap of difference.

If the earth path burns out regularly (BMW anyone?), then LED lamps might help.

As it's a horse trailer, presumably you're not worried about keeping it original so I would provide a new earth connection.

Sadly, there are lots of standards for the same thing, so it could also be called BA 15d, BAY 15d, 381, or something else entirely/

"newshound" gurgled happily, sounding much like they were saying:

If it's a wiring problem, swapping the bulbs won't cure it.
