Mondeo locking wheel nuts

After cleaning the wheels of my Mondeo, I realised that there was a collar missing from one of the locking wheel nuts, which effectively means I've only got three nuts on the front passenger wheel.

Anyway, I took the wheel nut to Ford and said could you provide a collar for this and the bloke said they're not provided by Ford, even though it was probably original to the car. I'm confused.

I've looked at the wheel nut and it says 75-12X1.5 and the locking tool states 17/19 HEX 75 - anyone know where I could get just the collar for the nut or is there anything else I should try?

Thanks

PS Is it safe to drive the car as it currently stands?

Do you mean the loose metal collar that fits round the nut? It's to stop people gripping the not with mole grips etc, that's all. If you'd feel happier just buy a normal nut at any motorists accessory shop.

I thought you were talking about the loose seating collar on the base of the nut that seats against the wheel. If this is the case it's part of the nut and is essential to it. If you've got alloys and are worried about losing any of them just get another set of locking nuts - we sell Trilocks @ £22-ish but I ain't gonna advertise us here, just give a guide price.

I have no idea how it went missing. I stupidly had new tyres put on at Kiwk-Fit, I can only think they managed to loose the collar when they were refixing the nuts.

Does anyone know which brand of wheelnuts are standard to the Mondeo?
