Nissan Note - misting up issue

I've just bought a 2-year old Nissan Note from a car supermarket, and as it has a 30-day (apparently unconditional) warranty I'm anxious to sort out any teething problems pronto!

The car has an annoying problem with the windows getting steamed up inside. I know from experience with previous vehicles that this is often caused by leaks/residual damp inside the car, but I'm fairly sure that's not the case here. The problem seems to be worse when I restart the engine while it's still warm (even on a completely dry day); the windscreen and front side windows steam up and despite the demisters on full blast for several minutes, I'm almost suffocating with the heat before it finally clears.

Just seems a bit odd - could there be a problem with the aircon or something? (that works fine, by the way.) Or is this just an idiosyncrasy of the vehicle which I need to live with?

I believe the vehicle may have been unused for some time before I bought it, if that's relevant.

Thanks David

replace the pollen filter would be the first guess or make sure it is on fresh air intake rather than recirc. then move onto blocked heater drain pipes.

Leaking heater matrix? I've had this problem on a couple of cars in the past. The last one required the dashboard to be removed to replace matrix.
