Paint repairs to plastic bumpers

Wife has an '03 Corolla with plastic bumpers. All 4 corners have received scrapes whilst parked in supermarket car parks. These scrapes have removed paint but not caused any other physical damage The car is silver but the bumpers are black beneath the paint. The intention is to prepare and spray locally using aerosol(s). I don't have paint spraying equipment or skills. Am I going about this the right way or is there a better method? Thanks Nick.

The better method is to take it to a bodyshop, it probably will cost less than you think, and the result with aerosols is almost always abysmal. A botched up repair invariably looks worse than just leaving the scrapes alone.

Especially since the surface will probably be quite scuffed as well.

You amy want to consider stick on bump strips for the corners - not to everyone taste but it will cover the damage and if it get knocked again, hit by wayward trolley etc you peel them off and stick another one on.

A better method is to take it to someone who knows how to do the job and isn't going to use £2 cans and end up with a job that'll knock £100's off the value of the car.

It'll only cost £100-£200 at the very most to get it done at a body shop.
