Paintless dent repair

Sorry guys but for some reason I have't been able to continue my earlier thread "Rust spot on bonnet".

Some of you suggested getting a paintless dent repair guy to take a look but if you look at the second photo you'll see that the paint has been broken - am I being too literal in my understanding of the word "paintless" or would they really be able to tackle such a job - and if so, any recommendations?

TIA

"Pete Zahut" gurgled happily, sounding much like they were saying:

Whilst they certainly usually draw the line where paint's broken, that's largely because of stretching the metal etc. I suspect that a combo of dent removal then localised paint touch-up specialists would have that as good as new. If you can find one bloke that does both, even better...

All becomes clear now :-) Thanks Adrian.

I concur with that, as you will never be able to match the metallic paint, with a small spot brush touchup being better than a whole bonnet being sprayed.

Metallics are the worst to match as the metallic partials , even if its the correct colour, will not lay down like the factory paint, then gives a different reflectivity. Plain colours are better but they fade at a differing rate to factory paint.
