pre'97 Chrysler Voyager: any known horrors?

Looking to buy a Voyager in the new year. Anyone got any horror stories or opinions on these? My wifey would really like a 3.3 V6 (she loves the welly pedal too!) but the wallet says diesel or 2L (slow but...). Any advice or help. (I'm off to browse Honest John now..) cheers, JB

IIRC, frontal crash protection of a wet paper bag.

Guess we won't be crashing from the front then! I'll just weld a bit of old scaffolding round the front. Seriously, none of the large MPVs are much cop apart from the newest Renaults etc. (too bloody dear as well). The safety has just got to better than a small FWD car though. cheers, JB

You won't be spinning it on the handbrake to make sure the impact's on the side either, as the handbrake won't work...

Got one in my driveway here in Canada. Put a transmition in it just before the oil pump gave up its intended chore. All in all a good overall greenhouse for your driveway if you have a green thumb.
