Anyone have any tips to free off the stiffness when winding up the windows on my old H reg Primera..Done the usual, greased the runners etc

I had this on my last Primera at just two years old. The electric window was sticking fast and it was caused by the wax from car shampoos/jetwash wax running down the guides and clogging up the rubbers inside the door. I solved it by removing the glass and the rubber strip, then cleaning out the wax with petrol. Has worked perfectly ever since.
