Anything to check for, common problems etc? Will be viewing a 1998 > 220Sdi diesel with 48K on the clock at the weekend. >

if it's not the turbo diesel, it'll be the most gutless, slow, noisy model money can buy. They're almost as slow as a Golf SDi.

Both the 220 diesels have a turbo - just make sure it's the one with the intercooler; much better lump and lasts a lot longer (oh and another 20bhp).
