Rear Door Lock on Escort 55 Van 2002 Reg - MISSING LINKAGES

I am trying to fix the rear door lock on my friend's Escort 55 van reg year

2002

The barrel seems to work OK and turns freely about 1/4 turn to the right (it does not turn all the way round). All the linkage wires and levers are disconnected and there appears to be some bits missing as there is a hole in the inside door panel were presumably an internal door handle was once fitted. The external plastic door handle is not engaging with its pressed metal lever plate because what looks like a cable linkage is not present. No loose bits seem to be floating around inside the door itself. One wire linkage is hanging off the lock barrel but goes nowhere.

Does anyone know where I can find a Ford diagram that will show me exactly what bits should be present so I can understand how it works. When he first bought the van he thought that he turned the key to the left to release the door catch but this was probably bodged by the previous owner to make it look like the door worked for the sale. The last bit of linkage has since dropped off so you have to climb in the back and open it with your finger on the inside of the catch and push against the door.

Any ideas for a drawing appreciated.
