Removing Rain x

After sometime rain x is causing a slight smearing on my windscreen when it rains and the wipers do there job and now I want to remove it.

Any ideas on how to get rid of it ?

I was going to try some windolene ...?

windolene leaves a wax like coating. use a drop or two of washing up liquid in a pint of water, rub well in and polish off with newspaper. Weirdly enough this still works so well that you won't actually believe it unless you try it.

& if it doesn't then a bit of ammonia followed by the newspaper will.

Felt very daft doing this earlier, with many strange stares from neighbours and passer bys but it bloomin works a treat Mrcheerful. Great tip one I'll remember.

Made a fitting enf for last night evening standard hehe.

I found that Rain-X works best without smearing on a scrupulously clean screen. It does seem to pick up any dirt left behind when it's applied. Try re-applying immediately after cleaning with newspaper. Good wiper blades help too.
