Repairing A Mondeo Bumper

I dunno if any of you have ever tried to repair a "plastic" bumper but some ****** the other day bumped my parked car and did this damage . I could leave it as it is ,try to fix it in situ, take off the bumper and try to fix it from behind if that's possible or ( most unlikely option) go down the insurance route although I have an excess of £175 and protected NCD until renewal in June when it starts again. and I don't know how much the repairs would cost in total ....they'd probably replace the bumper anyway and spray it . Any ideas .

A new bumper off ebay is about 50 quid, not worth repair unless it is only very slight damage

I bought one for about half that, including postage. Local bloke charged

60 quid to paint it and it looks fine. It took me a couple of hours and some skinned knuckles to fit - easiest if you remove the headlights.
