Rover 216 1989 Hot Start Issue

Hi all Have had problems starting the above car from hot for some time now and after following some earlier postings I have changed the igniter module withing the distributor. No joy problem mremains, so here are some details in case someone out there can give me some more pointers. Car starts on the button from cold and can be driven anywhere so long as you dont stop, or stall. For example, if I pull into a petrol station to fill up, the car will either start then the revs drop to almost nothing and then slowly pick up, or the revs will drop to almost nothing then die. Once this has happened you have to wait 5 mins or more until you can try again. The coil has also been swapped out, new air filter fitted, new spark plugs correctly gapped. Distributor cap is clean and shows no craks and rotor arm too is clean. All breather pipes are clear with no cracks in. It doesnt overheat or use oil. Any ideas?

A month late on this :-(

From reading the MG forum it looks like a few people had this same issue along with myself.

2 Dry joints on the main fuel relay. Soldering over the top = hot start problem on 216's fixed.
