Storing wheels and tyres "off car" for a few months

I've got a set of winter tyres fitted to the car at the moment on a spare set of rims. The summer wheels and tyres will be stored in the garage for the next few months. Is it worth reducing the pressure in these while they are stored?

I can see no possible reason why.

It would not hurt, but I have never heard it recommended. they should be stored on their sides, supported by the wheel, not the tyre, not resting on each other , in the dark, with air movement possible around them. they make special tyre trees to store your sumer tyres on. not common in the UK, but many homes in the states and canada have them. iirc frosts sell them here.
