"The Garage" again

Anyone else watch the final couple of episodes of "The Garage" on Quest?

Highlights for me were double-charging for fixing seized brakes on a classic Merc 190SL. They got it wrong first time, so charged him again when he brought it back for them to try again. Then charging for gawd-knows how many hours of labour for plugging a modern Merc into the world's slowest diagnostics computer - when all it needed was a replacement headlamp! Unbelievable!

I noticed that, but AIUI the 2nd charge of 40 euros was for a new set of brake pads, which were not replaced the first time. Presumably the 1st time they thought they were OK. .

Yes, and I don't think it was explained why it had to be diagnosed in the first place.

Thing that got me was that idiot who thought he could restore the Anglia. He didn't bother to make the obvious check for rot under the car before ordering a new battery, and wheel arch repair panels. If he had, any 'competent' mechanic would have realised the car was a skip job unless the owner was prepared to spend a few thousand for a major restoration. Which AIUI she wasn't.

To me the whole lot of them seem to be a bunch of incompetent wallies. I had to laugh at the guy who thought the fire under the BMW's bonnet was caused by something entering the engines air intake. Mike..
