Vauxhaul combo 1.6 Problems...

I run a vauxhall Combo 1.6LPG... which this morning has started exhibiting some faults in gas mode....

When accelerating it will start flashing the engine light (emmisions fault) light and sometimes the light will remain lit with a code of 0400. However often it will stop flashing the light if the throttle is released, when this occurs the engine seems to go in to limp home mode and power delivery is very sudden and un refinded and low, it also seems down on power. And it feels lumpy as a lumpy thing.

Re-setting the EM system cures the fault for a limited time, but it does still have a low and lumpy idle, something like an indicated 550rpm.

On Petrol mode it still idles lowish, but less lumpy, and if reset does not exhibit the above fault or display any fault lights once reset, no amount of different driving style can cause it to do it....

So other than pointing at the gas system, and going to the gas man, and bending over any ideas?

It does seem to have a small water leak from somewhere but i can't decide where from, but it is small possibly 50-75ml per 3-400miles.

Anyways im off to give it plugs and filters in the vein hope that might help, any other ideas welcomed.

Tom
