VW clips

What in gods name lol do VW use to remove those auwful metal clips they use ?

The amount of diy'ing I'm doing and aggravation those clips cause me I need the tool .. hopefully available on ebay or somewhere...

Thats the metal clips around things like cv boot, radiator hoses etc

They look like they will do the job, after all the frustration with one a few days a go I'd try anything. What a pain of a design they are.

A pair of large water pump pliers work for many of these spring clips but access can be a problem. It's worth replacing them with standard Jubilee ('worm drive') clips.

the jaws in the teeth grip the two ends of the spring, making it less likely to slip off, and the pliers can be adjusted for different sizes of spring. I don't use them "end-on", but "side-on" IYSWIM.

Also useful for the same clips used on washing machines, dishwashers, etc.
