Any negatives about using a bra on the Miata? Tom
If the front end is sagging badly the bra is a pretty good idea otherwise I find that abrasive dirt gets between the fabric and the finish causing fine scratches -- especially if you are driving rally-type roads where dust and dirt are the norm.
Aside from the obvious (they're hideous), I think you need to take them off before letting the car get wet.
I'd rather repair or live with stone chips. And so I do. If you have the fascia repainted and clearcoated, it will be much more chip resistant.
I'm waiting for this thread to move to the obvious, it'll be much more interesting when it does...
Maybe you should be posting to the thread just prior to this one.
"Tire Experience?" Hmmmmm... OK, I don't get it, sorry?
OK, I never see any of those, almost all are posted from Google Groups as are the religious spam, etc.
I don't get those, see my signature, the Usenet Improvement Project might work for you, also:
Actually, this one seems to be posted from shaw.ca, with a wikipedia accreditation that I do not know about. As far as I know, wikipedia does not provide usenet access.

I can't see it, whatever I'm using for filtering it's eliminated that particular spam. I think that's a good thing! ;-)
I used one on my 95 - not problems. I use one on my 2005 - no problems. I just put mine on for extended road trips, etc. Not an everyday thing. Regarding the "fine scratches" I have rock damage on my hood well above the "bra." Even using the "bra" (front cover) I have rock damage around the foglights. I take mine off, put it in the washing machine (front loader) hand wash cycle, and it comes out nice and clean. I always wax the area (spray wax) that the "bra" covers before I put it on.
Just my expereince.
Heh, two above on my newsreader is titled "How fast does the top go up?" Heh.
