Looking for an oil filter relocator

I called Moss today to order an oil filter relocator kit but they are backordered for a couple of weeks. I really want to do this now while the car is still apart. Does anyone know who else sells the same kit as Moss? Their's looks to me like the best available for an M1 and has the best review record on Miata.net.

Thanks in advance, John ('94 Miata)

Well... But for your case of having the engine out, you are probably right. I have the BSP kit and the problem of the yellow plastic rings around the tubes melting. Does not seem to leak noticeably, though.

I just installed a kit that I bought from PBC

However, I think that's the Mosskit. It did take them a couple weeks to get it in. One thing that I noted. They tell you to crank down the adapter with an adjustable wrench. But when I tried to crank it down, I couldn't get it to go around the last 120 degrees or so, so that the hoses would clear the manifold brace. I mean, there was NO way to crank it down any more, without breaking off the nipple.

I ended up backing the adapter off until the hoses cleared the brace properly. It seems like it's a little loose, but it's not leaking oil. Just make sure you have the o-ring installed in the adapter. Mine was hidden under a flap of the box, so I spent some time looking for something to make it work.

You can do the install pretty easily if you just remove the plastic undertray (9 bolts and a couple nuts), and the manifold brace (2 or 3 bolts). I wouldn't worry about having the car apart too much. But if you've got the oil drained, you'll have to do it again. The kit comes with a new filter, though.
