1989 300SE comments...?

Nice car. This is the short wheelbase "S" class car, powered by a proven

177 HP straight six. The knock is that the car is somewhat underpowered. The engine and transmission are shared with the popular 300E of the same vintage so there's lots of maintenance and repair knowledge of this drivetrain.

The 300SE isn't an economy car but has better fuel economy than its V-8 siblings.

Nicely proportioned with very good driver's visibility.

Thanks, the particular sample I am looking at is in very good condition cosmetically. No rust, no cracks in the leather etc.

Hoping the test drive and exam by an indy mechanic looks as good.
