I have a 1993 300e 2.8 that is hard to start when cold or slightly warm. It will start, but will not keep running unless you have your foot on the accelerator. I have the factory CD-ROM service manual, but I can not find any data on the right injection system. All I can find is the mechanical CIS system that has the damper plate air flow sensor. My car has the electronic system with the hot wire MAF sensor. Everything for this car is in a strange place in the manual. The ignition system is under the diesel section.
I can't find a cold start injector. I think the idle air control is built into the throttle butterfly, but I'm not sure. I'm guessing that the throttle body needs cleaning, but I can't find the disassembly procedure in the manual.
Any suggestions on my starting/running cold problem? Any help on where to look in the CD-ROM?
Thanks,
Al
