what makes the multi-fuel injection match the points of the firing order to multi-fuel injection. what controls it. are they relays? or are they capacitors? or both? If so where are they located. please help, thanks for your time.

The early V8 EFI did not inject with the firing order, per se. There are four sets of trigger points in the base of the distributor that send a signal to the ECU to fire off the injectors in pairs. 1 + 5, 2 + 7, 3 + 6, 4 + 8. With the distributor stabbed correctly and firing #1 plug at the index point, each cylinder gets 1/2 its gas charge on each revolution of the crank. The second half of the fuel charge comes just before the intake opens. [the crank makes 2 revolutions for each intake valve opening]
