You could do a lot worse than join the MBClub forums. It is free to register and there is no spam and suchlike, just a wealth of accumulated knowledge.

The usual problems with MBs in no particular order are cruise control failing (easily repaired, how-to on the Forums), MAS (mass airflow sensor) failing (ditto) and sticky single wiper (ditto).
