CIBIE 7" H4 lights in a w123

Hi,
Has anyone installed the cibie 7" H4 light setup into a w123? Did you use the stock wiring and 60/55W bulbs? What is involved in the installation? What else is needed to run the city
lights as well?
Thanks,
JMH

I put Cibie's with city lights in my 1985 380SE (W126). I kept the stock wiring. You will need to get some 16 guage wire and some splicers (they are sold at auto parts stores. basically they have two slots in them for the wires to go in, and there is a metal bar at the top. You slide it over the wires and then squeeze it with a pair of pliers). Then you want to splice the wires for your city light into the wires for your parking light (one is the ground, the other is the power). Also, you will need to either solder or crimp connectors on the ends of the wires you are connecting to attach those wire to the base of the city light. Richard

O.E bulbs wattage will not damage your wires or sockets. If you exceed 80/100 H4 bulbs you will need to add relays. To wire the city lights splice into the corner parking/directional lights. Use the parking light wire (headlight switch position 1) to pin#3 on Euro plug.
