Diesel Fuel Substitute

I'm a fellow Vancouverite, have a source of used veggie oil from a local restaurant and just picked up a Jetta Diesel. Did you do the conversion yourself? Is it a 2-tank system? Do you pay for the processed used veggie-
oil? If so, how much?

Well, it's definitely a possibility. Making biodiesel at home is not difficult. It is somehwat messy, but manageble. The materials necessary to build a diesel "plant" are simple. And there seems to be a ready supply of used cooking oil.
