My wife has a 1995 Mercedes s320 and the battery has died.
Unfortunatley we have misplaced the keys to the car trunck where the battery is located.
Is there a way to jump start the car from the engine compartment?

Lots of motor shops sell a device that plugs into the cigar lighter on each car for jump starting/battery charging... that would work for you wouldn't it?
300 EssieAnd one can also power the whole electricity grid for the Eastern or Western USA to a car's cigar / cigarette lighter - while one is at it!
All cars with remote battery location has a battery + jack inside the hood... have a label on it... and a cover...
Negative is any bare metal points in the hood... however MB did provide a brass thing sticking out like a sore thumb for that.
If you can open the hood you might find a red capped + terminal to which the + jumper can be connected.
Any substantial metal part of the engine - away from the belts and fan - can be used as the - (ground) connection.
