If you want a simple free web based way, I use Google Groups. The
only downside is that recently a lot of the spam has come via Google
so some people now have their viewers set to filter out posts from
Google posters. However, I haven't found it to be a problem. One
reason I use Google is it's web based, so I can access groups the same
whether at home or traveling.
I have used nntp.aioe.org for over 2 years. Free, dependable and has
every UseNet group I've ever asked of it.. Paid the $3.95 for setting
up the ""free Teranews, but that is not dependable. Don't forget to
refresh the listing of the groups to get the latest ones.

I complained to Comcast that less service for the same $$ is a disguised
price increase. Presumably to offset the cost of a pay Usenet service
they offered me a one year introductory rate - about $12 or $13/ month
off the regular $45.95 monthly rate that I've been paying for some years.
