Considering getting a Cooper

I'll probably pass on the Sports Suspension +. With Paul's recommendations as well, I'll probably go for 16" wheels.

Focus that is ?

I'm sold on this now.. LOL I was in Dallas, TX in August and managed to get myself a 120Mph Corvette ride. That had adjustable traction etc.. the guy stiffened everything up... then at the flick of a switch relaxed it, booted it round a corner.. got a tonne of fishtailing left and right, corrected it, straightened it up and booted it again... WOW.. It was VERY much fun :)

Not the same car of course but hell I'm sure it allows a LOT of fun :)

Warren, I am curious as to what exactly is being done with your boot. I know that I could buy a new boot for $370 but that's primed only and would have to be painted and then swapped. That would probably total out at something like $1500 and I would be willing to pay that IF I could feel confident that the paint job would match EXACTLY.... otherwise I just swapping one flaw for another.

Please let us know how your car comes out at the end....

TIA, Blues

I had to talk with my insurance company but I managed to get them to let me take the car to a BMW approved body shop. This means they have access to the same paints so you get a perfect match and also, most important, the work they do is covered by the BMW warranty so as far as I know it should not be an issue.

Talk with your dealer and they will let you know the nearest body shop they approve in this way

I will let you know what happens as it should be ready Friday.
