road trip Chicago!!!

Heading from Mpls to Chicago this weekend for a cousin's 40th birthday celebration. Wish Gigi and me (and my dear husband) good luck and no Wisconsin troupers! Oh, and no deer either please. Between these last two, I-94 can be a pretty nasty place for a sweet lil' French gal, ya know? But seriously looking forward to the ride--our first longish trip (only 7 hours) in our MINI.

So here I am 2 1/2 months into ownership, and I still ADMIRE my sweet new speedo more than any other car I've owned. Feeling still SO pleased with the gal. (And I have finally mastered "turn signals sans high beams," which is a treat for the other motorists, especially ;-)

But if you're ordering now, don't forget the multi-function steering wheel. I said no (don't use cruise and the following is always LOUD, so I don't need a control), but now I'm sad that I won't have full I-Pod capabilities.

Shy-town here we come!

Good luck Lisa! Remember: state troopers can only pull you over if they can catch you! Actually, pretend I didn't say that. Though many would no doubt argue with me, I think that the Road Trip is the highest form of Motoring...communing with the Road and the MINI, seeing the countryside, passing big trucks...it's all good! I'm embarking on my own 7 hour road trip tomorrow, as well! (then a 7 hour road trip the day after, and the day after, etc, for eight days)

Bring on The Road!
