Hope this budget proposal applies to Mini's? Well how small is small?

He has announced that owners of the smallest cars will pay no tax at all and that duty on low emission cars is being cut to £40.

Well if it's true, the value of Mini's are likely to go through the roof!?

page 168 of the Budget 2006, secti- the VED rate for the small number of cars with the very lowest carbon emissions (band A) will be reduced to £0 to encourage take-up and assist the development of the low carbon car market;

- VED rates will also be reduced for band B by £35 and C by £5, frozen for bands D and E, and increased by £25 for band F;

- rates for pre-2001 registered cars and light goods vehicles in the lower band will be frozen with the higher band increased by £5"

... unfortunatly

Yes like I said, WANKERS!

Anyway when they introduced the lower tax for smaller cars a few years back, they limited it to cars under 1100cc, well after everyone complained, they did increase that saving to cars under 1549cc. So maybe if we all complain like crazy and point out the fact that the real/original Mini is as everyone knows, the greatest car of all time, then maybe we'll get free road tax on Mini's? Well it's worth a try perhaps?
