will look good if you can do it BUT the work involved will be LARGE

and will you get the ground clearance as there is only 4 .5 inches under the gear box as it looks like your going for a 50mm or 2" drop of hte body work front wings will not let the wheels turn so no turning left or right ???????????

I'd say it was very easy to do that green one. The main tool used was photoshop or something similar.

The bottom photo is a munged version of the top one. Notice how you can still see the railings through the back side window of the geen car despite the fact that they're below dashboard level.

Cheers,

Colin.

Its not that difficult just time and finding parts that will fit the smaller openings - screens, side windows, door glass.

As for lowering the body there ain't that much ground clearance to start with - whats showing is about 4" lower so the body must be sitting on the ground. You ain't going to drive that anywhere.

You cut the pillars at the top where the radius finishes on the vertical.

cut the roof down the center then either side of the centre pillars so you have the roof cut into 6 pieces. Weld all these back onto the existing pillars then add/weld sections to the roof to make up the difference in area.

Simple.

This is a copy of the Stuart and Arden Mini Sprint from the 60s. One of these would be a good start.

The answer to the lowering might be the use of a hydraulic suspension kit to get the "slammed" look for when it's parked, you can then raise the car to drive it. Bit like the pimpmobiles you see in the US.

There was an article on fitting a kit a couple of months ago in Mini World or Mini Magazine including the supplier but I've looked and can't find the issue. Perhaps someone on here can have a dig through and help with the issue number. The car pictured looked as low as the pic you provided.

i was thinking about air bags for the suspension.. and possibly rebuilding the suspension.. By the way dont expect to much from me, Im a 17 year old student who cant afford a mini, or any of the gear to do it up and i dont have the skills yet. But i still like to dream and plan for the future!!
