selector shaft seal-to change or not to change?

back again+ got a haynes manual other day to see if there was info on this as it appears i have a leak from here, not too bad but just wondered if this is straight forward enuff to change out?if its a pig then i can live with it for now but i will have to tackle it at some point. any advice as always gratefully received!

Hi. It's quite easy, but before you consider knocking the roll pin out, make sure you place the gear lever in reverse. If you do not, you will jam up the gearchnge, and you will have a devil of a job releasing it.

And replace with two seals in there.

hi or leave the old one in and put the new one in on top ?

And shorten the spring in them by a couple of turns.
