Can anyone suggest some reasonable speakers to put in a mini sprite 1275 I am thinking of back shelf speakers first off, then maybe door speakers when I can decide how :-P

Hello DJ

Hope this might help with the front ones.

for the rears I think the standard holes in the rear shelf are 6", I bough a pair of 6.25" speakers that I liked and used a pair of 25mm thick MDF spacers cut out by my local timberyard to raise the speakers up just enough so that I wouldn't have to cut the existing shelf liner or metal. Doing this would mean you could have almost any speakers you want. Hope this helps

In my 61 850 i installed a Rokee dash board with the holes for the vents. The 61 dosnt have vents like the later models so I installed speakers in the holes, and installed sub woofers under the back seat.

I just bought a set of Pioneer TS-A1681R speakers - I did a fair amount of research before buying, and am very happy with the sound quality. The back shelf metal cutout was large enough, but I had to remove the fiberboard shelf and cut it larger since the previous speakers were like 5" or so.
