Hi, i have a 94 galant that turn on but wont go reverse or drive, people tell me it might be a sensor or that it might need an oil change, does anyone have any suggestions.

Might be a sensor. Unlikely that an oil change will fix it, unless the level is VERY low. Might be the torque converter has given up and the trans internal oil pumps are not working. Might also be the transmission computer. This may be outputting an error code.
If you can't check this yourself, you need to get it evaluated by a transmission shop.
