Nice car. Shame it is an Auto. The shift band allows it to drop out of the VTEC band between gears, so not as smooth and quick as it culd be when pressing on. Does look really good though.

That definitely a VTEC, then? - Jap imports also came over as a 2.2i non-VTEC in Auto form. (which is odd, 'cos the UK equivalent is a 2.3i)

Actually, both the 2.2s where VTEC, they got the 2.2 VTEC and the 2.2 Si VTEC different spec. now if you want to talk options, Oh jesus.

1)With or without ABS 2)With or without 4WS (different Chassis number range) 3)With or without climate control (came as standard) 4)With or without cruise control (came as standard) 5)With or without sunroof (standard with) 6)With or without electric windows and mirrors (standard with) 7)With or without LSD (not standard fitted).

You could specify it right down to a basic manual everything, 2ws and sweaty, with the turning circle of a bus. Then you would take it racing/trackday/street racing. going 2ws saved so much weight, but they really do have a huge turning circle then.

Looks like there was a single cam VTEC and a twin cam non VTEC 2.2 in the states, but all the JDM 2.2's were VTEC DOHC.

There was definitely a twin-cam non-VTEC 2.2i from Japan. This I know as a friend had one.

Hmm. This is the VTEC weakness for many cars, though - but since it's a SOHC VTEC it's less critical....

It looks awesome.

158bhp.

There's nothing wrong with the auto, not least given IIRC it's a Honda box, and another that always seems to be in the right gear at the right time.

I'd have preferred my 623 to have had this, having briefly driven an auto one I'd bought for spares - much more suited to the application in hand, as it were.

Heh I'm goooood. :)

Hmm. It may have been the one I used to ride around in, but the automatic was as jerky as dried beef. It made a mockery of the 623GSi's luxury image

Hmm. Guess it was knackered then. Lovely engine though.

Mind you I have to say, I've liked all 600s I've driven for different reasons.

:) I never realised my ad would cause so much debate. Yep it is the F22B engine 2156cc, 158bhp DOHC. Good engine and easy to get serviced without having to pay a fortune to a Honda dealer. In fact I decided to just give the car a major service last week and it came out of it so well i thought I might as well keep it and just enjoy the car because it is a great car and I love driving it. Ok using it for commuting at

30 mpg is not going to be that cheap but it is not going to break the bank!
