My bet is heart attack/failure. He's had trouble with it for years.

Whenever I saw him on the telly he seemed like he'd be an absolute pain in the arse to work for and wondered how he kept any staff. He might have been good at coming up with the ideas and doing things himself, but if I had to choose a hot rod workshop to go to, it'd be Chip Foose every time as he appears to be able to get things done on time without flying off the handle.

The last few episodes I watched over in Amsterdam (no Discovery channel here on my TV), he was either firing people or they were leaving of their own accord. That workshop manager of his didn't help much in that either...

sucks! i did like his show but he came across a grumpy bastard at times. his cars were true hot rods to me. ah well we'll just have to watch westwood now instead i guess. that's kinda in the same league right?
i'm joking of course, i been watching that custom my ride and that's pretty good, loved the modern charger they did with the 69 charger body bodged on the top!
