Car insurance - using no claims from 1st car on 2nd

I've got a second car and want to insure it.

The insurers I've spoken to won't let me use my 14 years no-claims on the second car but I've heard some do.

Has anyone got any recommendations please of any insurer that would let me do this?

Thanks in advance,

David

You have several options;

Have both cars on the same policy, thus using yout NCB on both cars legally.

Use your NCB on both cars with 2 seperate polices, Illegal, but the chances of you crashing both cars at the same time, is unlikly.

Find a company that will let you have 2 seperate polices using your NCB on both, legally, as you mentioned.

Get someone else to insure the car and you drive it 3rd party.

My Daughter and Son in Law have 'Fleet Insurance' on their cars. Don't know how it works, but the advantages must be good.

I've found a company (ecarinsurance) that will let me have up to four cars on a policy and it's cheaper than I expected. However, that won't be until January and I've negotiated a NCB duplicate with my current insurer, even if they're a bit pricey for a group 1 car.
