anything is possible.

the question you need to ask is "Can I afford it?"

i'd imagine a bill of 3-6k for this type of engine work.

Contact cossvaux in sheffield for a quote.....only vauxhal specialist i can think of (not a big vauxhall man you see.)

Yeah 3-6k including labour sounds reasonable, I would rather buy another car though. But I prefer naturally aspirated/supercharged engines anyway so i'm bias.

The next question is...

"why am i doing this."

unless it really is stunning (or had a lot spent on bodywork etc) then your probably wasting your money...

it wont increase the cars value significantly and for the money (selling your car plus 5k your gonna spend on engine work) would buy you a decent motor.

Just a thought thats all...Getting rid of it for a Civic type R or possibly a WRX soon anyway!

well then dont bother :o)

buy a CTR or a scooby instead :o)

basically it would be cool....decent street sleeper and all that but you wont see any of your money back. might as well wait and buy a proper car :o)

Go for a WRX, or an Integra type R. Personally I still wouldnt go for these but I sevearly dislike the civic type r styleing.

Get a cossie you big woman, if I could afford to insure one I would have a

You've answered your own question.

The Civic or the Impreza will be cheaper to insure when you get it than a turbo Corsa installation, and when you do come to mod it, with the right insurance company, wouldn't cost you that much more. And when you do mod it, will give much better gains and be much better suited to tuning.

I think the CTR styling on the latest ones is a love hate thing, wheni see them stationary I'm still not sure, but seeing them blasing sideways through a corner, and they really do look right.

But having said that, If i was buying a VTEC honda, it would be a Prelude. If I could have found a good manual import Prelude 2.2 VTEC, I would have been driving that now instead of the Celica. A lot lighter similar sized car, with much better fuel economy

If a Scooby WRX is on your shopping list, then why are you looking at a Civic ? It's not even nearly as much of a car...
