Not as much fun as the E30, irritatingly vibratory at idle. Didn't seem to suffer from BMW "Awful clutch" syndrome as badly as most of the other late BMW's I've driven.

This is like, the 5th mini review in a row that has been posted to the group that has had NOTHING relevent in it.
Where the f*ck is the cup holder and STD discussion?!
clutch... clutch... Now I remember something called clutch but it's quite a distant memory...
What's Sexually Transmitted Diseases got to do with cars? Mike.
Oh my god I've just noticed the initials for Soft Touch Dash are also Sexually Transmitted Disease! OH! HAHAHA! Mike you're such a hero!
Thanks so much for pointing that out, I'm certain none of us would have ever got it without your help :-)
I think we should have 3 cheers for Mike, followed by a trophy presentation!
;-)
I daren't even think what the trophy might portray, so might be better to give that one a miss :-)
Might be a set of penis shaped salt and pepper shakers. AFAIK the Co I work for still has a few left from an old order. Mike.
Hehehe, it's a little statue of Steve, holding a cup of fine German coffee - and looking confused because he has no cup holder.
Awesome. I'm glad you took my response in the spirit it was intended hehe. After I sent it I suddenly wondered if it was likely to cause any offence - other than light hearted ribbing. I mean, hanging round here, you really had no excuse ;-)
Oh yeah, daddy-oh! This little wagen had a clutch!
I'm so glad mine doesn't.
You know, you're quite right. I've been lacking in my dedication, my mission is a failure. I have bad news to report. Very bad news indeed. News that no other news can perhaps possibly compete with. I should be punished.
Mainly because A) I didn't give the dashboard a good 'anti squeak' prodding, and B) I didn't drive the car whilst in possession of a drinking vessel, so I wasn't on the look out for a suitable receptacle.
That's it now. I'm finished.
I can, however, report that given enough welly it'd get the tail out in the dry, and that the steering is a fair bit quicker than that in the E30.
Oh, and if anyone finds a BMW Z3 in a scrappy, can you pinch the steering rack off it for me?
You'd look awesome in a Z3, with the roof off. Do you still have a pony tail?
So your other half doesn't let you out in the Toyota..?
OMG you only just spotted that!!!
They haven't improved the vibration from the engine in the new one, either.
I think the new one is a big step backwards, too - I've been giving serious consideration to the old shape coupes with a decent sized petrol lump. Much better interiors.
She does, but it makes really odd crunching noises as you go faster and stalls every time you stop.
