Ebay fuckwittedness

It was bound to happen. Complete f****it bidding on the car :-(

Only 9 hours after placing a bid, the current high bidder emails me to say 'my circumstances have changed significantly'. What, in just 9 hours? I don't think so.

Someone is now having to sit tight and hope that they're outbid....

Fuckwit.

Better to just cancel their bid and block them. At least that way you get a genuine high bidder rather than someone you have to make a second chance offer to.

I'll let them sweat it out overnight ;-)

Could cancel his bid, but I'm guessing you want someone to outbid him so you can risk getting more money.

What's the insurance like by the way, I'm paying £1,300+ for a 1.4 slightly modified golf. I add saftey lights and they charge me another £50 - thiefs. I offer to fit a thatcham cat 2/3 alarm they offer me no discounts. Surely that's shooting themselves in the foot? Oh that £1,300+ is with a 15% staff discount from when I used to work for them as well.

For the completely standard 33 1.7ie, we pay about £400 fully comp.

However, we're both in our late 20s, with maximum no-claims bonus.

Looking at his purchases I'd say his other half bought another bag and he's skint. ;-)

Not much sweating for him, you can't exactly force him to pay. eBay is not an auction, and bidding is not a contract.

Bloody hell !

I'm in my early twenties, with maximum no-claims bonus, and 6 points on my license, and I only play £600 for my Group-17 620 TI !

Do you live in moss-side or something ? :)

Milton Keynes seems to be a stupidly high-risk area, as I saw a 20% increase when we moved from St. Albans.

Strangely, my bike costs much less - even though bikes tend to be more heavily loaded than cars, IYSWIM.
