A bigger engine.

What ?

If a Turbo makes noise, then it's a high-pitched wail. How would making your exhaust "a bit more grunty" make it sound like that ?

I take it he means the burble type noise made by some turbo cars with bigger bore exhausts on them.

Not gonna happen mate.

So does my Micra. Sounds exactly like a Zanussi WM430 on 1200 spin cycle

1043cc, solid tappets? Swap the rotor arm out for one from a later ecu car and they rev to almost 10k (carb won't flow enough air as standard though).

Heh, my mum had a yellow 950? cc Polo years ago, if it was ragged hard enough it'd spit flames out of the exhaust.

Mind you, the were probably bits of valves the caning it used to get.
