Fibreglass bumper repairs

Evening all

I want to replace the bumpers on the BX as the back one is cracked (and is the wrong one anyway) and the front one has a large scrape down the side, as well as a few minor scrapes.

As mine is a phase 2 16v it has the one-off fibreglass bumpers that no other model shares, which makes them quite rare. I've managed to pick up a spare front and rear bumper, both in red but they're in need of a bit of repair. Nothing major - a few knowcks and stones chips, and a minor crack on the rear one. I'm happy to spend a bit of time rubbing these down, and getting them smooth but how would I respray them? Someone told me I'd need to use 2 pack paint, but after a quick google it seems that doing it at home without specialist equipment/safety gear is not recommended.

So, is it right that I'd need to use 2 pack paint? If not will normal spray cans (cellulose?) suffice? Or is it something that's gonna be difficult to get right so taking it to a bodyshop would be easier?

Advice appreciated!

IME spraycans will be fine. SD1 bumpers are fibreglass, and I've repaired and resprayed those in the past without any problems of flaking, cracking etc.. Mike.
