I'm back.

With the beast. Looks like the auction photos were taken a while back as it was shiny then but slightly oxidised and dirty now.

Bad points. Paint flat and dirty. Headlining bad at the back but only a little loose at the front. Tailgate actually holed under the spoiler so will probably hunt a replacement one (will gaffer tape for now and for MOT). Boost gauge not working (but turbo definitely is). Tiny bit of corrosion in the edges of the bonnet (but owned worse on a

900) Only one washer jet seems to work, but might just be clogged or low on fluid. Wheels a bit corroded. Missing a radio antenna.

Good points. Drives really well. Turbo boosts really well (from seat of pants). Seats not sagging. Electrics seems fine. No cruise control to worry about. Generally seems mechanically solid but cosmetically neglected. Was originally supplied by a certain "William Gollop Motor Company".

Will give all the fluids and stuff a check over tomorrow when cold and sticks some more petrol in, and see if it is just a loose hose on the boost gauge.

Probably perfect as crap hauler and trackday car. The guy I collected from was a farmer and picked me up from the station in it. The full sized spare is too big for the usual space but I got to have a look boot floor because of that. Looked solid.

Typical farmyard environment, His "new" 10 year old civic, a Volvo estate, a very very old Landcruiser he uses in the fields, several tractors, couple of lazy old dogs, about 10 cats.

Felt really good to be home, only thing missing is the aircon, but better not fitted than failed/dry/manky.

Sounds like you got a good deal actually. I've always preferred the

8-valvers. Maybe I'm just wierd.
