anyway would love coil over but how much! and over kill on a road car i think if i just got some lowering springs to drop it by like -40mm i guess i should upgrade the dampers/struts/shocks and whatever else people call them :)

if i just got some

dampers/struts/shocks and

Tein Flex or TRD adjustable coil overs, with Pillow ball top mounts.

Or just the top mounts with Leda double adjustable struts with remote gas chamber and springs.

Go on, blow some serious money, struts will up the insurance whether you stick on Spax or Tein/Leda/TRD, might as well go for the good ones.

Theres no better way to f*ck up a road cars handling, sorry, handerling and ride than to change the suspension.

Yes i have coilovers in the 19 but thats because i want it low!

i think if i just got some

e dampers/struts/shocks and

TRD decent coilovers about =A32k, TEIN flex about =A31700 I reckon +=20 springs. Leda might save you some brass though, but again springs will=20 be extra. H&R is good stuff as are Bilstein PSS kits, but Bili's can be=20 a little bit harsh.

that coz your to busy big pimping in the R19 :)

40mm drop is ok on a turbo, 60mm ruins it completely!

If you want more than 25-30mm drop it's best to get coil overs that are height adjustable independently of the spring pre-load and damper travel. Lowered springs on standard or and any sort of uprated strut have to be too hard to prevent topping out in the reduce travel they have. Coilovers that just have spring preload to set ride height are not much better.

Stavo finendo di pulire il mio Harrier AV-8B II quando Vamp esclamò:

the problem is how much money you want to spend on it... on my clio i've fitted coilover suspension ...and dropped the body about 70 mm i had got to spent some other money for other parts....for make new suspension work well.. i've done that.. i got some H&R and official Clio cup parts and hours for setting up ..and now the car looks great and bite the road scary.. very fast cornering and no more understeer..

:) yep you got to do

Unless you are going to be doing a LOT of track days coil overs aren't worth it. Upgrade the springs and shocks.

Agreed.

Lowering it is a fine way to knacker it ! The UK has lumpy roads, as you've no doubt noticed - you need all the suspension you can get :)
